Our Girl is here!!!!

I know I know....its been a week already and I haven't posted anything about Emree. This whole "three" kids thing is really throwing me for a loop. Three kids is a lot harder for me than just having two. Maybe I'm just being wimpy about it, but man these kids are kicking my booty. ANYWAYS back to Emree. So she was born on the 17th of April at 8:02pm. It was a very smooth labor. I dilated to a seven on my own and then I was screaming (not really) for the anesthesiologist. I got my epidural and it worked really well, I was a very happy girl. The Dr. came in and broke my water..no kidding right after that he said it was time for me to start pushing. It was 8:00pm when I started pushing and I had her out in two pushes and then at 8:02pm we had our little Emree Joy. She weighed 6lbs 1 oz (my tiniest by far) and 18 1/2 inches long. She is just beautiful and is definitely our little princess. Her brothers just adore her and cant stop giving her kisses. The like to kiss her really hard to see if she will wake up. As for Rey..oh wow he is in love to say the least. He cant even walk by her room without looking at her. He says he's the only man ever allowed to kiss her lips. Ha right. We'll see about that one. Its very sweet how protective he is of her already. As for me I enjoy staring into her cute little eyes and getting to know her sweet little spirit.

Rey kissing me while I had a contraction.

This is right after she came out. I love Rey's face...he was so excited.

Just born

Proud Daddy and his little girl.

Gavin loves her soooooo much. He likes the fact that he's bigger than somebody now.

Just a few minutes old.

Sleepy Girl

Look at all that hair!!

She wasn't in the mood for pictures, but she sure looks cute mad!

In Loving Memory of President John C. Hadfield

The following pictures were taken just 2 days ago at the Multi-Stake LDS Prom at the Rancho Cucamonga Stake Center.

We were all shocked and saddened to hear the news this morning of the passing of our dear friend and Stake President, John Hadfield. He just spoke at our Ward Conference yesterday and seemed to be fine. Our families have known each other --- more than known each other --- we raised our families together and shared many wonderful experiences over the last 30 years. We were more like family than friends. In our little neighborhood (nicknamed Mormon Acres) here in Rancho Cucamonga at one time we had 13 LDS families, I think, all living in close proximity. It was a great environment for children to grow up in at that time. We were very blessed to have each other. We will miss John dearly and pray for Lexine and their family as they go through this trial. One of my favorite quotes is by Elder Maxwell, "Whatever the heartache, the Lord will compensate." President John Hadfield, a more righteous man you'll never meet.
The following words were written by our Stake YW President and sent around in an email today.
"Wherefore, now let every man learn his duty, and to act in the office in which he is appointed, in all diligence" (D&C 107:99).
President Hadfield worked with all diligence in his calling as Stake President of the Rancho Cucamonga California Stake. Personally, I have never seen such dedication, love, sacrifice, and hard work quite like that given by our dear President Hadfield. Oh how he loved missionaries and our youth! The youth knew it and loved him right back. He was a 'hands on' Stake President. He was continually looking for ways to bless and strengthen our youth. He loved with all his heart and worked hard to show it. President Hadfield was a doer, not just a dreamer. He made every effort to be guided by the Lord in everything he did. He had ready hands and a willing heart. President Hadfield was a true disciple of Christ. It was an honor to serve under him as the Stake Young Women's President. I learned so much from him. I feel incredibly blessed to call him, and his sweet wife, my friends. I will miss his endearing smile and his positive spirit. His influence has been made and he will be greatly missed by every member of our Stake and everyone else who knew him. He a was a great, great man. President John C. Hadfield was a man of truth!
Our thoughts, love, and prayers go to Lexine and her dear, sweet family at this time. We pray that they will feel the Lord's love and feel encircled in His arms at this time.

The Boys in My Life

Here are some snap shots my mom took the other night while we were visiting at their house. As I was posting the pics I realized that these are 4 of the most important men (and boys) in my life...My husband, my sons and my Dad. Gavin loves to be on his Daddy's shoulders or as Gavin calls it "Up high Daddy"!! I feel bad, Rey looks so tired in these pictures, but he always finds the energy to play with his boys.

My parents took the boys out to dinner, while Rey and I went out on a date that night, it was so nice to have some alone time together. Braxton and Gavin love being with their Grandma and Papa!!

Almost Done

Okay so I know pictures are a lot more fun to look at, more so than reading a post by itself but I gotta vent a little bit. I am so ready to have this little girl, I am getting more uncomfortable with every minute that goes by. I cant sleep at all at night and when I finally do fall asleep I wake up about an hour later to go to the bathroom. Oh the joys of being pregnant. Any one who has been preggo knows exactly what I'm talking about. Poor Rey, I have been so grumpy lately and he gets to deal with me and my "preggo issues" all the time. Well on a more positive note, my "nesting instincts" have kicked in. I, for the past two weeks have been doing nothing but organizing and cleaning everything in site, so hopefully after I have her my house will be clean for a little while. Okay that's all...ahhh... I feel better already just with that little bit of venting.

Yeah Finals are OVER!!!

So the quarter just ended for Rey. Ahhh finals are finally over and done with. Its such a stressful time for the family. Rey of course has the stress of studying and deadlines to meet, while I have the kids and all the normal home life stuff to deal with, basically all by myself for the week. We know this will all be worth it in the end, but sometimes school just feels like a never-ending thing. Well now that Rey has spring break, we get to have some down time, and plan on going to Las Vegas for a few days to visit with his family. It will be fun. The kids love going to see their Papa and Grandma Fast. So ya, I feel very excited that I get a whole week to have my hubby with me...no homework, no studying...just enjoying him, plus the kids love having all of his attention. I cant believe this is the last quarter we will be heading into before he graduates in June. Only 3 more months...YIPPEE!!!!!

Miss Emree Joy

So my mom was kind enough to pay for us to have a 3D ultrasound done of our little Emree. It was amazing!!! Just me, Rey and my mom went, it was a neat experience. I loved seeing her precious little face and hands moving all over the place. In fact she loves having her hands cuddled up next to her face, because it took the tech a little while before she could get a good shot of her face because she always had them right up next to her head. SHe is so adorable, and we can't wait until we finally get to meet the little princess.
