Vacation

Warning, there are a lot of pictures! We took a family vacation last week and went to the San Diego Zoo, Bakersfield, and Las Vegas. It was a very busy week, but of course fun too. Only Rey and I went to Bakersfield so it was kind of nice to get away just the two of us. We were there so that Rey could shadow a Nurse Anesthetist that we know. He really enjoyed that and it got him even more pumped to apply for his Masters program next month. We then came back home for one night and took off for Vegas the next day. We loved visiting with Rey's parents and his sister's family. We always have a blast when we are together.
These pics are of the kids and Rey at the hotel we stayed at in SD.

Next are the Zoo pictures, the kids LOVED seeing all of the different animals. That place is neat!

(Braxton wanted to do this jumping thing that they had at the zoo, I cant believe how high he went and didn't get scared at all. He was pretty proud of the fact that he could do front and back flips on this thing.)

These last pics are of us at the park in Vegas having a family BBQ. It was such awesome weather the whole time we were there. We even got rained on a little bit.

This is Rey's sister Aubri's little boy (Emmett). Isn't he such a handsome little guy?

I LOVE this one of Rey and Emree. (Please excuse the ghetto-ness of Rey and I. We were so exhausted by this point from all of our traveling that we went to the park unshaven, hair not done, and no make up on)

Rey's parents.... seriously they are the best in laws EVER!

Braxton's First Day of Kindergarten

Well Braxton started his first day as a Kindergartner. He was SO excited and has been looking forward to this day all of Summer. When we got there he was so happy to see that there were 4 other kids from our ward that were in his class, so that made the adjustment to going to school every day a little easier. He did very well and didn't even cry at all, in fact he kept asking when it would be time for me to leave. This made me a little sad, I guess he was just really ready. That day when I picked him up from school, he wanted to come home and do ALL of his homework that he had for the week. Then he said to me kinda softly "Mom I started to cry a little bit....not when you dropped me off, but when school was almost time to get out. I really missed you." Oh man, I thought I did good without crying when I dropped him off, but I couldn't hold back the tears after he said that. I missed my little guy too! He also told me that he was VERY tired and was ready to go to bed. Now if any of you know Braxton this is VERY out of the ordinary. He rarely admits when he's tired. So that night when it was time for bed, I was tucking him in and saying prayers and he asked me if when we said prayers that we can ask Heavenly Father to make it so he wont miss me and not to cry tomorrow when he goes to school. AGAIN, I couldnt hold back the tears. He is such a sweet boy and I love the faith he has in our Heavenly Father, he KNOWS that if he asks for help he will get it. I love this cute boy and I'm still having a hard time believing that my B-Man is in school.

Kinda out of order with the first pic, but this is on the way to school in the car.

Of course Gavin wanted to feel included so I took a pic of him too. This is him trying to smile. Such a sweet boy.

Braxton sitting at his seat with his name tag on. He's sits at the "blue table".

He was so excited to have his own pair of scissors, glue, crayons, and pencil.

This is his friend Paul who is in our ward, he sits and the same table too.
