Fun at the Circus

We went to the Circus on Monday and we had a blast!! We got to spend some time just with the boys and we were able to leave Emree with my parents. Rey got the boys so pumped up for it that when we got there, they just couldn't even hide how excited they were. We did face painting, pony rides , and bought them cotton candy and light up swords. They were in heaven, and we were too, watching the smiles on their faces. I love seeing my kids enjoy fun things and doing stuff they have never done before. It was pretty expensive and I'm not quite sure the show itself was worth the money, but the memories we made were priceless. Don't get me wrong, some of the performances were very impressive and I thought they were really good, but Rey was expecting a little more for the amount of money. The boys loved it and we had a GREAT time, so that was the best part of it all.

The boys were just so excited. I love how they're posing in this pic!

The pony rides were the first thing we did when we got there. Gavin did not like it at all at first.

Braxton LOVED it! cute boy.

Now, he was starting to kinda like it. Still not too sure about the idea.

Then at the end of the ride they posed for the camera.

Face painting was next...Gav choose to be a tiger.

Look at that sweet face. I love that boy, he held so still.

The end result...you cant tell in the pic but his nose had black glitter all over it and so did the stripes. They did a really good job.

B's turn now :)

He choose the clown. He was all into the clowns that night.

The cutest clown you will ever see!

Waiting for the show to start.

Rey took the boys inside the ring before the show began, and they let the kids do some fun things in the ring.

I wish Gavin would have had his eyes open...bummer.

Conversations with my 3 year old

Okay, so I had a few interesting/funny conversations today with Gavin and I just wanted to share. He's so cute and is getting so big so fast, where did my baby boy go? Gavin is one who keeps us laughing all the time, you never know what he's gonna say next. I think when hes older he's going to be the one who is the "class clown". He loves to have people laughing at the funny things he does and says. So here are a few conversations I had with him today...

1) Me: "Gavin do you have poop?" After I thought that I had caught a whiff of something nasty.

Gav: "Almost, I trying uh push it out...it's stuck" (Yes, I know my 3 year old should be potty trained...we're working on it though, its a slow process with this guy.)

2) Me: "Hey Buddy lets go outside and play"
Gav:"No mommy its too windy outside"

Me: "No its not dude, come on lets go play"

Gav:"Oh did uh wind go to sleep?" (uh is the word he uses in place of the words , the, to
and a)

Me: "Yup the wind went to sleep, now lets go"

Gav: "But uh huge bald eagle will get me" (I have NO idea where that came from)

Me: "No buddy there are no bald eagles outside, so come on!"

Gav: :"Okay." (So now we walk outside and he feels a gust of wind go by) "Mommy you woke up the wind"

3) Me: (A little later on, Gav had pooped yet again) "Gavin come here so I can change you...Buddy you stink, how come you have so much poop?"

Gav: "Mommy, its not poop.....Its Crap" (I laughed so hard at that one)

4) As we were driving home from Target, it was dark outside and Gav doesn't like the dark and the car made a weird noise....

Gav: "Mommy what was dat sound?"

Me: "I don't know, I think it was the car"

Gav: "No mom, it was a scary wood pecker"
5) Gav: "Mom I did two toots....like dis, beep beep." (I could tell he was very proud of the way it sounded...he is ALL boy)
Me: "Wow, good job buddy"

Oh how I love this sweet little boy. He really does keep us laughing and smiling with all of the off the wall things he says. He definitely has my heart and is one of the most loving, sweet little boys you will ever meet,

My Superman

This is My Superman!! Rey doesn't know that I am writing this post about him, because if he did...he wouldn't want me to do it and he would probably feel embarrassed. Like I have said before, I use this post as a journal for our family so I want to record some of the feelings I have been having over the last couple of days. As most of you know Rey and I were in a car accident on Sat. and we were very blessed that neither one of us were seriously injured. I was not wearing my seat belt (I know, I know...I have gotten many lectures and have learned my lesson) so I ended up with a concussion, a sprained neck, a broken thumb and index finger and a badly bruised knee. Nothing too serious, it could have been a lot worse, but I was blessed that my airbag deployed and protected me somewhat. Anyways, I wanted this post to be about my wonderful husband that I am so grateful for. He is my angel. The second he knew I got hurt he was right by my side the entire time, he never left me. He was so concerned about me and wanted me to be out of pain. These past couple of days since the accident Rey has had to do everything around here. Not once has he complained about anything. He's been changing all the diapers, taking care of all my needs, doing all of the bathing, taking care of all the insurance stuff, cleaning, playing with the kids, and remaining calm the entire time. Poor guy, these are supposed to be his days off and all they have been is nothing but work. I could have never asked for anyone better. Rey is my rock, and he is a wonderful husband and father. I don't know what I would do without him. Thanks baby for being my Superman, I love you!!

Our Beanie Model

My mom has been making beanies for all the grandkids in the family. Emree of course got a hot pink one and we were trying to have her model it for us. Every time she would go to pull it off, we would tell her "no no no" and she would actually leave it alone surprisingly.
So serious, I love it.

This is her famous crinkle-nose smile.

She wouldn't take this piece of pizza crust out of her mouth...its a good thing she looks cute with it in her mouth.

Warning...LOTS of pictures!

Ok it seems like every time I post on my blog lately, I'm always playing catch up. Here are some pictures of some more snow we got with one of the last storms we had a couple of weeks ago. Then we took a quick trip to Vegas to visit Rey's family. The kids love going to visit Grandma and Papa Fast, they think going to Vegas is so cool. We had a really fun time with them.

This is the little beanie that my mom made for Emree. She doesn't keep it on her head for very long, so I caught this pic right before she yanked it off.

The boys think the snow is so awsome. If you notice in this pic Braxton is doing his favorite pose for the camera, you will see this "pose" in the next couple of pictures of him. He's such a funny boy.

Here it is again.

This girl loves to bounce in her jump-a-roo.

Ok so we call Emree our little puppy because she always has something hanging out of her mouth, like toys, blankets, shoes, you name it.

AND once again...he even does it while he's talking on the cell phone. :)

I love how whenever I take a picture of Gavin with Emree, he always has to be touching her somehow. So sweet, he's such a good big brother.

This is Emree with her cousin Emmett (Rey's sister Aubri's little boy). As you can see, Emree wasnt in the mood to play I guess, because when I sat her next to him all she would do was cry. She was being a little stinker. Poor Emmett was trying to be so nice to her and she wanted nothing to do with it. I love how he's putting his hand on her shoulder. Emmett is the sweetest little guy.

Here they are again and Emmett seemed so concerned with her, he didnt understand why she kept screaming.

Handsome BOY!!

This was after her nap. A VERY much needed nap.

OuR LiTTle GeT AwaY!!

Rey and I were able to go on a little 2 night 3 day get away, thanks to my parents who were willing to watch our kiddos. We went to Disneyland and LA. Rey surprised me by reserving us a room at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel, in the heart of Los Angeles. I was SO excited when we pulled up and he told me that that was where we were staying. I was amazed at how huge and beautiful it was on the inside and out. We watched the Super Bowl, there at the hotel in it's lobby/bar area, where they had like 10 huge flat screens on the walls. It was fun to watch it even if it was with people we didnt know...we met some nice people there and enjoyed the game together. Later that night we made an appointment at the hotels spa to have a couples massage done. Oh my gosh, it was so relaxing and neat to have Rey right next to me. We each got a 75 minute massage and it was funny because when they were done, they both had to wake us up and when we stood up we were both so relaxed that we could hardly even walk. We got back to our room around 11:30pm and vegged. We watched Four Christmas' (cute movie) and then fell asleep. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect night. Then we woke up and went to Disneyland. We had a blast, well how can you not have fun at the "Happiest Place on Earth" right? The next day we went to downtown LA to Olvera St. For those of you who have never been there, it is a Mexican Marketplace, where you can shop and eat authentic Mexican food. Rey was so cute....he was so excited to go there because he wanted to use his Spanish and eat some of the food that reminded him of his mission. I loved watching him speak Spanish, I don't know what it is, but it just touches my heart to see him interact with those people. Well we had an amazing time! It was nice to be able to focus just on each other for those couple of days, and not have to worry about kids or work.

Rey enjoying some yummy tacos from Olvera St.

At Disneyland by our brick

We bought this brick when we were on our honeymoon.

On Tom Sawyer's Island.

In front of the castle at night.

In the Westin Bonaventure

Rey at the pool at like 10:30pm. The pool was really warm but it was too cold for me outside to get in.

Watching the Super Bowl

This is what I did while Rey went swimming.

This is just a glimpse of what the hotel was like on the inside.

Rey messing around

I loved our windows, as you can see they went from the floor to the ceiling. The view was awesome, especially at night.

These two pictures were our view from our room.
