Out in the sun, having FUN FUN FUN!!!

We have had a blast these past couple of days. I had some family come down from Idaho that we haven't seen in a long time. We went to the beach, swimming, and just hung out, it was great! The day we went to the beach we all car-pooled down there. I drove my van of course so that we could pack in a few extra kids so we could drive less vehicles, hoping to save on some gas money. Then Rey drove the corolla separately and came after he got off work. OKAY so heres where the story begins. SOOO we have this wonderful fun day at the beach, we get everything packed up (which always takes forever) we get the kids all in the cars and everybody but Rey and I had left since it took us a little longer to pack up. I go to start the van and it doesn't start. Cool huh? It has done this before, but Rey fixed it. We thought it had something to do with the alarm system in it, since last time we fixed it Rey messed with the alarm and got it to work. SO Rey for the next 30 minutes tries to mess with the alarm to get the car to start. Well nothing worked and now we are trapped at the beach with only Rey's corolla and about 8 people. We call my mom who had already drove almost half way home to come back and squeeze some more kids in her car and then our family would all fit in the corolla and drive home. By now its like 10:30 and kids are tired, Rey and I are exhausted and just want to be home. It takes us a good 2 hours to get from the beach to our house in Hesperia. We left our van there and the next day I drove ALL the way back down (good thing gas is so cheap) with my Aunt Melody and Uncle Allan who were down from Idaho, to see if he could get it to work. I was hoping that when we got there the van for some reason would just magically start up. Well it didn't and now I'm thinking about how much money we're going to have to spend getting towed and fixed somewhere down at the beach. My uncle called his friend from back home who is a mechanic and told him what the car was doing and he told my uncle to have me start the car and keep cranking it while my uncle gets under the car and hits the fuel tank where the fuel pump is. Okay so I'M thinking ya right just hitting something is not going to work., but hey what do I know...the car started right up. What an answer to a prayer. We were able to drive the van back home and now can have it looked at by OUR mechanic who we know wont rip us off. SO ya that was our nice fun, relaxing, stressful say at the beach.
Now thats what I call HOT!!!

Braxton's cousins burried him in the sand. He looks like he has two black eyes from all the sand thats on his face.

Rey and my brother Scott, they were out there forever!

Rey met us down there right after he got off work.

I know another post with a kissing picture in it. I just love these pictures though...oh and of course kissing him :)

My mom with the grandkids

My Gradparents, bless their hearts how many 80 year olds do you see out on the beach these days. It was nice that they were able to come.

Okay seriously I think that Gavin ate the whole bag of Cheetos by himself. Everytime I would see him he had that bag next to him and his hands full of sand and cheetos...yummy.

Rey and Braxton hanging out in the waves. He thinks he so cool that he goes in the "Huge" waves.

Weiner Roast

This is what Emree did almost the whole day.

Gavin's not one to go into the water quite yet, he prefers playing in the sand with his toys.

What a bummer about the van. I hope getting the fuel pump replaced isn't too pricey.

Your kids are pretty cute.

THE TOKI TRIBE

THat sucks!! We went to the beach yesterday and it was about 10 and I couldn't find my keys ANYWHERE! So we looked forever and packed everything up and I kept thinking how expensive it would be to call someone and I didn't have a spare and I just imagined being stuck there all night....and I know about that 2 hour drive back up the hill!! But yah, we got lucky and jeff remembered he put them in his backpack..hello....but lets blame me!!!! ANyways, cute pics, dont you love the sandy cheetos. My girls would just dip their chips in the sand and eat it...yummy!!!!
