OuR LiTTle GeT AwaY!!

Rey and I were able to go on a little 2 night 3 day get away, thanks to my parents who were willing to watch our kiddos. We went to Disneyland and LA. Rey surprised me by reserving us a room at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel, in the heart of Los Angeles. I was SO excited when we pulled up and he told me that that was where we were staying. I was amazed at how huge and beautiful it was on the inside and out. We watched the Super Bowl, there at the hotel in it's lobby/bar area, where they had like 10 huge flat screens on the walls. It was fun to watch it even if it was with people we didnt know...we met some nice people there and enjoyed the game together. Later that night we made an appointment at the hotels spa to have a couples massage done. Oh my gosh, it was so relaxing and neat to have Rey right next to me. We each got a 75 minute massage and it was funny because when they were done, they both had to wake us up and when we stood up we were both so relaxed that we could hardly even walk. We got back to our room around 11:30pm and vegged. We watched Four Christmas' (cute movie) and then fell asleep. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect night. Then we woke up and went to Disneyland. We had a blast, well how can you not have fun at the "Happiest Place on Earth" right? The next day we went to downtown LA to Olvera St. For those of you who have never been there, it is a Mexican Marketplace, where you can shop and eat authentic Mexican food. Rey was so cute....he was so excited to go there because he wanted to use his Spanish and eat some of the food that reminded him of his mission. I loved watching him speak Spanish, I don't know what it is, but it just touches my heart to see him interact with those people. Well we had an amazing time! It was nice to be able to focus just on each other for those couple of days, and not have to worry about kids or work.

Rey enjoying some yummy tacos from Olvera St.

At Disneyland by our brick

We bought this brick when we were on our honeymoon.

In front of the castle at night.

In the Westin Bonaventure

Rey at the pool at like 10:30pm. The pool was really warm but it was too cold for me outside to get in.

Watching the Super Bowl

This is what I did while Rey went swimming.

This is just a glimpse of what the hotel was like on the inside.

Rey messing around

I loved our windows, as you can see they went from the floor to the ceiling. The view was awesome, especially at night.

These two pictures were our view from our room.

Girls Night Out

On Friday night all of us girls went out for a very much needed girls night out. It was a blast!! We first all met up at Red Robbin where we ate and had Angie open her presents for her baby shower. It was a GNO/Baby Shower. Then later on that night we went and saw the chick flick Bride Wars. It was cute, perfect for the night. The movie didn't get out until midnight. During the movie Angie actually started having some contractions and ended up having her baby at around 4 in the morning. So next time girls if you want to have your baby, forget all the other methods and just have a crazy girls night out. Plus that's a way more enjoyable method then some of the others. :) It was so nice to be able to get away. I cant believe I was kid-less for 6 whole hours. GOOD TIMES!

The Group

MMy sis-law Mandi and me. I love her!!

Rachel, Edie, Me, and Carrie.

Angie just being silly.

In the theatre.
Waiting for the movie to start.

Me, Amanda, and Rachel.

Hey moms are aloud to be silly too!

After the movie, we still had a bunch of energy...maybe it was all the caffeine.

You would never guess that this was taken at midnight. We all look so wide awake. Can you believe that Angie had her baby just a few hours later? Crazy.

Just some SUPER cute pictures!

Emree loves her bath time.

She has such pretty long eyelashes.

Taking a bath is her favorite thing to do, she loves splashing and feeling the water hit her face. I just can't get over all of that curly hair she has!!

Gavin loves his little sister so much...he came to me and said "Mommy take pictures of me and Sissy". How could I say NO?

Posing for the camera, as usual.
I absolutely love this picture. He was just being so sweet with her. He tries to hold her but she is so big now, she almost makes Gav fall over.

Emree looks huge in this picture because shes leaning forward towards the camera and G is leaning back and as you can see trying to pull her back too.

The day has finally come...

The day is here....we finally bought a new computer. WOO HOO!!!! Rey told me the other night to go buy a laptop for my birthday and I asked him "Are you being serious?" He just looked at me and smiled... I said "Dont toy with my emotions, you know I have been having computer withdrawls, and I'll take you up on your offer," He said go ahead, so that day I went out and got one. Happy Birthday to me!!! Well its not like we didn't need one anyway right?? So now I get to keep up with all of your wonderful blogs and hopefully now I will be better at updating ours.

We've got some MAJOR catching up to do!!

Wow, its been over a whole month since the last time I blogged and the first reason for that is due to my lame computer. My computer is so messed up that it runs terribly slow and it takes like 15 minutes just to get the internet to come up, and I SO don't have patience when it comes to a slow computer. It was working there just fine for a while and then it went all weird on me again. Bottom line is...time for a new one. We don't use the computer all that often now that Rey isn't in school any more so we just have been pushing it aside. ANYWAYS, I just posted a whole bunch of pictures in this post and I'll write the captions below so you know what they are since this post includes pictures from like 4 different things. Some are from Gavin's 3rd birthday, the snow that we got, a few Christmas shots and a couple of random ones. Enjoy:)

I took these two of Emree because I wanted to show people that this girl has some curly hair (Just like her Daddy...I was hoping one of our kids would get his hair! Mine was really curly when I was little but now its totally strait). Whenever her hair is wet it gets this curly, once it dries it kinda straightens out.

As you can tell she wasn't cooperating very well with me, she was ready to go to sleep.

Just a cute picture of Emmers right before we went out into the cold to do some Christmas shopping.

Ok I tried to put all of the snow pictures together but then I realized I had forgotton this one and it is WAY too cute of my boys to be left out. Rey and Braxton stayed up late one night building this adorable snowman. Rey was so proud of it he called me out like 3 times as they were making it to check it out. It was pretty tall...keep in mind that Rey is 6'3 and it was just a tad taller then him.

This is at Gavin's birthday party, right before he blew out the candles on his cake. We celebrated G's birthday on Thanksgiving since we had Rey's brother, Ryan and his family over on that day. I love how he's looking at his cousin Hudsen in this picture. He loves her so much and gets so excited when he knows we're going to be seeing her.

Such a pretty little girl and a handsome little guy.

This is one of Gav's many faces that he does. Thats pretty dang scary dude!

Since it rarely snows where we live, we naturally don't have any snow shoes for the boys, so Rey got his creative ON. Every time the boys would go out and play they would come back in 5 minutes later saying that their shoes and socks were wet and their feet were freezing. SO Rey had the idea of putting plastic bags over their shoes. It actually worked very well. As you can tell Gavin wasn't liking the idea at all.

Braxton thought it was awesome that he had plastic bags on his feet. That's so Braxton.

This is our backyard at about noon that day. The snow didn't stop falling until early into the next morning. I know for you people that live in the snow every winter you're probably thinking "Gosh they get some snow and its like this huge deal". I thought the snow was pretty but after one day I was ready for it to be gone. I don't like driving in the snow and it stresses me out when I know that Rey has to drive in it. Rey had to call into work that night because we couldn't even get out of our neighborhood the next day, especially in Rey's little corolla.

Braxton would play out in it for hours. He would come in crying because his hands got so cold.

My three Fast boys. I think Rey was just as excited as the boys were that it was snowing.

Okay so Rey told me that I had to take a picture too....so here I am in my pj's, no make up, and my glasses on. You can't get much sexier than that!

This is my husband trying to show off his creative side. He called me out of the house , into the freezing cold cuz he said that he had made something for me. I was all excited and then I saw this. I started laughing so hard, he said he would have done my name but it was too long. Thanks Honey... I love it. :) Oh ya, if you can't tell he tried to write his name but the R and Y didn't come out so well. "Don't eat the yellow snow boys!"

I love that sweet smile.

This is Christmas at my parents house. My camera wasn't working right during the Holiday's (Gosh whats up with the electronics in our house?) so these are some of the snapshots that my mom took.

Smile Braxton. It wasn't his turn yet to open his gift and he had been waiting very patiently for his time to come but I think he was starting to get a little upset.

Emree on Christmas day...she wasn't feeling very good over the holidays. She has her "sick" look on her face.
