Our Praying Princess

Emree is so good at folding her arms and bowing her head during prayers, that we had to get some pictures of her so that we could aways remember it. We love this sweet, rambunctious little princess. Plus I love the curls hanging down in her face. Who knows if she will always have this curly hair so I definitely don't want to forget it.

Pumpkin Carving and Trick or Treating

We had a blast carving pumpkins this year with our friends, Heather and Greg. Braxton was so proud that he was able to carve his pumpkin ALL by HIMSELF. He did a great job too. Gav and I shared a pumpkin, he picked out the design and I carved it. Then on Halloween I took the kids over to my brother Scott's house and we all went trick or treating in Victorville. The kids loved being able to go with their cousins. We had a pretty big group, and it was a lot of fun, of course the only thing missing was Rey. He had to work that night. He would call like every half hour so he could talk to the kids while they were out. He was SO sad to miss seeing them all dressed up, he really enjoys taking the kids door to door. I kept the kids in their costumes until he got home that night so they could show Rey what they looked like. We had a fun time and the kids loved getting a ton of candy!

Greg and Heather

All of the pumpkins from left to right....Rey's, Braxton's, Mine & Gav's, Heather's and Greg's.

This one is Greg's pumpkin.....Gotta love The Office!

Our fairy Princess. I was so bummed I realized after I had taken all the pics that night that I had like a smudge or something on my lens, so the pics of Halloween night came out kinda blurry. Oh well.

Our scary skeleton, and our strong little Batman. Love these cute boys!

My nieces and nephews. They were all zombies. You cant tell very well in this pic, but their make up was REALLY awesome!

All the kids, I think we're missing a few though.

Vacation

Warning, there are a lot of pictures! We took a family vacation last week and went to the San Diego Zoo, Bakersfield, and Las Vegas. It was a very busy week, but of course fun too. Only Rey and I went to Bakersfield so it was kind of nice to get away just the two of us. We were there so that Rey could shadow a Nurse Anesthetist that we know. He really enjoyed that and it got him even more pumped to apply for his Masters program next month. We then came back home for one night and took off for Vegas the next day. We loved visiting with Rey's parents and his sister's family. We always have a blast when we are together.
These pics are of the kids and Rey at the hotel we stayed at in SD.

Next are the Zoo pictures, the kids LOVED seeing all of the different animals. That place is neat!

(Braxton wanted to do this jumping thing that they had at the zoo, I cant believe how high he went and didn't get scared at all. He was pretty proud of the fact that he could do front and back flips on this thing.)

These last pics are of us at the park in Vegas having a family BBQ. It was such awesome weather the whole time we were there. We even got rained on a little bit.

This is Rey's sister Aubri's little boy (Emmett). Isn't he such a handsome little guy?

I LOVE this one of Rey and Emree. (Please excuse the ghetto-ness of Rey and I. We were so exhausted by this point from all of our traveling that we went to the park unshaven, hair not done, and no make up on)

Rey's parents.... seriously they are the best in laws EVER!

Braxton's First Day of Kindergarten

Well Braxton started his first day as a Kindergartner. He was SO excited and has been looking forward to this day all of Summer. When we got there he was so happy to see that there were 4 other kids from our ward that were in his class, so that made the adjustment to going to school every day a little easier. He did very well and didn't even cry at all, in fact he kept asking when it would be time for me to leave. This made me a little sad, I guess he was just really ready. That day when I picked him up from school, he wanted to come home and do ALL of his homework that he had for the week. Then he said to me kinda softly "Mom I started to cry a little bit....not when you dropped me off, but when school was almost time to get out. I really missed you." Oh man, I thought I did good without crying when I dropped him off, but I couldn't hold back the tears after he said that. I missed my little guy too! He also told me that he was VERY tired and was ready to go to bed. Now if any of you know Braxton this is VERY out of the ordinary. He rarely admits when he's tired. So that night when it was time for bed, I was tucking him in and saying prayers and he asked me if when we said prayers that we can ask Heavenly Father to make it so he wont miss me and not to cry tomorrow when he goes to school. AGAIN, I couldnt hold back the tears. He is such a sweet boy and I love the faith he has in our Heavenly Father, he KNOWS that if he asks for help he will get it. I love this cute boy and I'm still having a hard time believing that my B-Man is in school.

Kinda out of order with the first pic, but this is on the way to school in the car.

Of course Gavin wanted to feel included so I took a pic of him too. This is him trying to smile. Such a sweet boy.

Braxton sitting at his seat with his name tag on. He's sits at the "blue table".

He was so excited to have his own pair of scissors, glue, crayons, and pencil.

This is his friend Paul who is in our ward, he sits and the same table too.

Spikey or Horny

So today we were (me and the kids) driving to the gym, and the road that we take to the gym has a this house that owns this HUGE bull, that is always near the road. The kids always love to see this huge bull that has big white horns (I guess thats what you call them) and they always make me slow down so they can wave to it. Ok so today I told the kids..."hey lets give our bull friend a name" and Gavin yells out "how bout Spikey, cuz he has big spikes that come out of his head"...and then before Gavin could finish Braxton interrupts Gavin and says, "NO, not Spikey, those aren't spikes Gavin those are horns so we have to name him Horny." I could not stop laughing, I tried to convince them that Spikey is a better name, but they wouldn't have it. SO, when we got out of the gym, what was the first thing the boys asked for? Yup, to go see Horny. I don't know, it may not be all that funny to you, but its pretty funny to me when I hear my kids talk about Horny, the bull.

Date Night

I figured that since I always post pics of the kids I would actually post some of Rey and I. We went out on a date on Saturday night. We went for Sushi (which I now have a new love for), shopping, and then went and played around at Dave and Busters. Oh my gosh, seriously it was the most fun we have had out in a long time. Rey and I were playing so many games to try and win a bunch of tickets. I don't know what it is about winning a lot of tickets, but it makes us feel like we had won the jackpot when a ton of tickets start coming out of the machine. Plus we both love picking out prizes for the kids with our tickets. Anyways here are a couple of pics we took of ourselves that night. Oh, at the end of our date pics, I threw in 2 extra pics. One of Emree and the other of Rey and Gavin. I took the pic of Emree because I wanted to remember her crazy hair that she has. I had just taken out her pig tails, so her hair looked pretty crazy. Then Rey and Gav were just laying together watching TV and I thought it was sweet.

He's so yummy!

Such a fun night!

The little wild hair girl.
